Fwiw, imho, the old "trip over it for free", 307 engine is way better than the 305... It has a 3.875" bore and a 3.25" stroke so is the best of the 283 and 327 ... As for me, I'd take a round-bottomed 283, (or a good 307), and bore it .125" and make a 301, then you got something that can be hopped enough to go big engine hunting..Select motor type and/or bore size in Column 1. 3. Replace the 307 heads with some double hump heads that are equipped with 2.02" I / 1.60" E valves, install a old school 30-30 nostalgia camshaft and 4.11 rear cogs and you can get off the ...Also, all the 307 accessory brackets should bolt to the 330.
