Would be easier if you found an engine and then ask about it. You mention the 4L60e. In general, that is a lighter duty transmission and has not done well behind a 4bt. The 4L80e has been used and seems to do OK. You will need an outboard controller for either of those transmission along with the proper torque converter for a diesel.Transfer cases, computers, linkages anything relating to transmissions would be good to know.
