Oct 3, 2022 · 2019+ Silverado 1500 changing brakes. What’s up everyone. I have a 2020 Silverado RST. I need my brakes replaced as they are worn down, I’ve read that the pads are simple to replace but the electronic wear indicators will cause a problem when the pads are removed and will put truck into limp mode.HEEP. 268 posts · Joined 2006. #7 · Aug 28, 2020. Mine are worst through a drive-thru. Makes the worst sound. also, the info system shows I've got 89% of the brakes left at 19000 miles. My 2002 had 250000 miles and never had a set of brakes installed. Still had over 1/4 of the pad left.
