Can am limp mode
As far as I know, the limp mode function is only in the stock CDI; the Dyna isn't capable of running the engine in limp mode. The stock CDI is turning on the light because it's picking up a fault in the system. That fault shouldn't be capable of causing anything to happen with the Dynatek. 2002 698 Prairie.A. I roll on the wide open dirt roads in the desert and if I'm in full throttle for a few minutes running full speed for say 10 minutes, when I let off and slow down the machine goes into limp mode. I turn off the key, restart and I'm running normal.

8. Agree with brake pedal advice. will go into limp mode if riding the brake for any distance. Crud on the switch--not letting it close completely--will make the computer think you are riding the brake, and will turn limp mode on. Feb 13, 2009 · outlander 500 overheating, limp mode. ok lets try this here. i got booted from the "other site" because i got a little irritated that no one would even try this. maybe in Canada where you seem lucky to survive the cold it may seem silly. but down here in S.W. Florida where 60'f is too cold to ride it is an issue.So with that being said, on the other end of the spectrum, if something isnt mechanically wrong, and it is shorting somewhere in the wiring, it will be in limp mode as soon as you start the car. with or w/o the reset it will be in limp mode constant. I wouldnt preach that as gospel but as a starting point.
