The Glock 30S slide is on a 30SF frame from the factory, so I am unsure of your question. If the serial numbers on the barrel, slide, and frame match I would't worry too much. The 21 to carry has to go into a shoulder holster for me or I will end up with my pants on the ground.

The only significant differences between the Gen 4 and Gen 3, in regards to the G30 is the texture/backstrap system, magazine release, and the three magazines included with the Gen 4 vs the 2 with the Gen 3. SF stood for short frame...meaning shorter trigger reach. It is my understanding that the Gen 4 models without any backstrap installed has the same reach as the SF frames.
