If you generally get your hay pretty dry (24% or less), a inline is mighty hard to beat. The 1840 is the latest model and has many improvements over the previous models.It is a mixture but bermuda is dominant. Since bermuda is a spreading grass even if the stand is neglected and a bit thin if you fertilize it good, lime if needed, and spray it to kill the briars/weeds you should be able to get it to bounce back and fill in and have a good hay field. The balers currently produce bales that are 3-3.5ft in length, 1.5ft in Width and just over 1 ft in height. The weight varies between 20-22 kg. When I am starting to roll hay and get about a 1/2 bale in the chamber the belts will quick turning. If i hold pressure on the the tractor remote leaver it will continue to roll the belts.

The neat thing about this rake is that the last 3 wheels can be removed to make it a V rake for round bales, a Y rake for square bales. The case 930 was a smaller sized tractor than those other two but could do just as much work during the day and yet burn less fuel. With proper maintenance they are very realiable.

Mine is flail, but roller type available too. Can get them 6 ft up to 13 ft wide or so. #1 - I've got it on a MF 5455, about 85 hp and 12,000 lb.Give the grass plenty of time to grow between grazing, and to burn off the old growth every 3 to 5 years. Plus there are a lot of different grass species that qualify as prairie grasses. Each has their own set of rules to go by. Switch Grass if going for hay is cut two maybe three times a year, if fertilized.

The 4440 has the reflective on the sides and about 12 inches down the back. Neither one is to bothersome at night and really helps with cooling when it's a 110 degrees out, when baling. I just switched from a 1209 haybine to a JD 530 discbine and I absolutely love it. I dont think they've changed much from the 530 to the 630. You have to consider that in straw and stover you are only removing 1 too 1-1/2 tons/acre so that would be 10 to 15 acres/hr. This machine would be doing a lot of processing at the same time. I talk to dealership and they said you had to replace the whole roller.
