Honda fourtrax 300 no spark problem
Jan 30, 2013 · Hi, I have a 91 four trax 300.. we had a problem to where we had to tap on the cdi unit in orderto get spark. Replaced cdi... 2 weeks later it died again...no spark.. found blk/wht wire broke going to the cdi unit. I cut the wires back on both end and briefly spun the engine over...fired right up.. disconnected the wire and walked over to my ...It will not run. My 2015 Foreman 500 starts but dies within a few seconds. This started a few weeks ago when we started getting real cold...below 32 degrees most of the time. First I removed the fuel pump twice and each time back-flushed the fuel filter with gas and compressed air.No spark could be caused by a few different things. The first thing that I would check on the 200 is the pulse generator/rotor air gap. The 200 had the pulse generator and rotor at the end of the cam, on the side of the head, behind a round metal cover. I would check to make sure the rotor and pulse generator are clean and free of any rust.

Worked on an '88 trx 300 this past spring with similar issues. If you could get it to start it would die suddenly and there would be no spark or voltage to the coil. I replaced the CDI box under the front plastics (approx $55) and its been great ever since.Disconnect the output wires of your rectifier (the wires that provide charging and operating voltage to the battery). Then, see if you can start the engine. If you can start the engine, you have a bad rectifier. It was used on a farm, and ridden up in the Tennessee Mountains, so it's a little rough, but not terrible.No yellow wires to the thing under the front left fender.
