Looks to be about the best match load I've found so far at least on paper. Second is the Black Hills 77 Grain Sierra MatchKing HP load, which sports an advertised velocity of 2750 fps and a G1 of 0.372.A 62 or 70gr TSX round would be more ideal I think. A good mushrooming bullet will still ruin a good bit of meat, but less than a fragmenting round. As far as 5.56 on bear... I wouldn't do it on Arkansas black bear. I imagine an Oregan bear is/could be a good bit bigger. I'd want something with a little more juice per squeeze.

Columbia, SC. Oct 26, 2019. #1. Today I decided to buy 100rds of Sig 77gr 223 Rem ammo to shoot in my Seekins 3G2 rifle. I have been shooting the IMI Razorcore Ammo and the rifle/I like it but my wallet wants a better value. I’ve tried Magtech but not as good as IMI in my rifle. Black Hills puts gold in their powder. Decided to try Sig.(links below) Lets compare 75 GR BTHP Match from Hornady (Frontier vs. Superformance) and throw in IMI 77 GR BTHP Match with their Serria Match King and see ...Hornady 73gr ELD Match 2577 fps, SD 15.3, ES 44. The BH 5,56mm 77gr TMK, IMI 77gr Razor Core, Win 77gr Match, FGMM 77gr, and Hornady 75gr SM all shot lights out in both rifles. I was very disappointed with the 69gr TMK in these two rifles, but have more I need to try the 69gr TMK in before I give it the chop. ….

The usual culprit for blown 5.56 primers is firing them in a .223 Remington chamber or an out-of-spec 5.56 chamber. After the federal assault weapon ban expired in 2004 there was a race for manufacturers to put out ARs and quality suffered.
