Plot – In the fall of 1956 professional photographer Robert Kincaid is in Madison County, Iowa, to shoot a story on the famous covered bridges. There he meets Francesca Johnson, who is married and has two children, but who is alone at home four days a week. This is the brief but intense period of time in which their passion explodes and is consumed.
